Last week was our trip to the Atlantis Resort in Nassau. It was absolutely amazing! The first night of our trip, we attended a welcoming reception for all the Larson sales team members. It was fun to finally meet some of Charles’ co-workers and spouses. The route to the dinner was through the aquarium at the resort. It was a tunnel of different creatures-something new around every corner.

 

On Thursday the 27th, the rest of the company employees and spouses began arriving at the resort. Charles was required to be at sales meetings from 6 AM until noon, so I spent the morning relaxing and getting a little bit of work done. I’m not going to lie, I also called to check in on my Owen! Spouses were invited to attend a lunch after the meetings were over so we could hear about the benefits that Larson provides to all of it’s employees. During the meeting, there was also an awards ceremony. Totally caught off guard, Charles won SALESMAN OF THE YEAR for his division. What an honor! I’m SO proud of my hubby!

By mid-afternoon, the entire resort was crawling with Larson people! Over 1400 people in total! Thursday evening there was a delicious seafood buffet for everyone around one of the large pool areas. I was still in shock at the amount of people there.

 

Friday we went to the local Straw Market and lunch with Dan and Carrie. They have been so fun to hang out with during this trip! That night, we had another company dinner with amazing entertainment. The musical group was considered Junkanoo. It is generally a parade that includes music, dance and elaborate costumes. They were amazing performers! Saturday was our last full day at Atlantis. We spent most of the day relaxing, floating down the rapid river, wandering around the resort and then, enjoyed a fabulous date night dinner. It was so wonderful to unwind on this trip of a lifetime, but I was SO ready to get home to my boy!
