So my latest farm obsession is jersey cows and raw milk. I have this very distant dream to one day be completely self-sustaining on our little farmette. On our Charleston trip in June, we purchased raw milk from Jersey cows at the local market. We brought it home for a side-by-side taste test and…..YUMMY! It was absolutely delicious! In my research, I’ve found that it is illegal to sell raw milk in Georgia for human consumption, which I find absolutely ridiculous. That being said, I’ve been on a mission to find more for us.

On a couple of rare, chore-free Saturdays that Charles and I had over the past few months, I’ve dragged him along on a few dairy farm tours. We’ve met several farmers and picked their brains about owning dairy cows. We got to meet some adorable little calves and see the farm milking set ups.

With our little man almost here, the timing isn’t right just now, but a girl can dream!
