We have a new addition on the farm. A friend of ours was looking to re-home her Jersey cow Delilah. Charles only agreed to take her if that meant he could get a livestock trailer. So, that’s what we decided upon! Last week he picked up his trailer and yesterday we picked up our girl.
The ride home was interesting, to say the least. Delilah stuck her nose and face out of the side of the trailer heading South on I-575 and had quite a few onlookers.
Once we got home, Delilah was ready to get out of her trailer. She walked around on her lead for a few minutes and then we put her in her new pasture.
So far, she has no complaints! She’s been doing a great job of eating the grass and keeping the fence lines clean. She’s also a total attention-hog and loves face rubs and scratches.
