We made it home on Tuesday (10/1). The drive from Sandy Springs to Canton wasn’t bad at all. Little man slept most of the way. I was so worried he would start screaming! When we got home, he got to meet Rob and Kristin.
Charles and I spent the rest of the day just unpacking and taking turns holding Owen. He slept for the most part and was content.
Our original plan for sleeping was to have Owen sleep in his crib from the get go. However, he had a few choking spells in the hospital that were really scary. They said it was fluid he was trying to extract from being in the womb. All of the nurses and doctors assured us that it was normal, but it was still very (VERY) frightening.
So, we decided to set up the bassinet when we got home and have Owen stay in our room, at least until this was no longer a concern.
At bed time, my plan was just to lay him down and he would magically sleep…at least an hour or so. Humorous, I know. Of course, he began squealing as soon as I laid him down. Needless to say, no one slept much that night. Here are just a few of my favorite pics from the past few days.
