Spaghetti Sauce!
For this recipe, I used Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman’s, recipe. You can find it here. For this, I did NOT double as it makes quite a bit already. The only mod I made to this recipe is that I used ground turkey rather than beef. I had enough ground turkey in my freezer already so it worked out great. (Another tip: I shop in bulk for chicken, ground beef and turkey at Sam’s so I can have them readily available. Take them home and separate into smaller freezer portions.)
This recipe was pretty easy and unlike the chili recipes that I put in 32 oz containers, I put this in 16 oz freezer containers because I figure either way, we are adding some sort of pasta to this so I didn’t need quite as much in quantity for each serving. This is completely personal preference! As Ree mentions, this is great for over pasta, lasagna or stuffed shells (another thing that will be on my cooking list in the next few weeks).
This recipe is great for if you don’t have a whole afternoon to dedicate to cooking! It’s relatively quick compared to others we’ve made.
