It’s the Little Things – The Paulk Pack

It’s the Little Things

I don’t know much of the background of our home. I know it was built in 1950, an addition was added in 2004, and the most recent owner foreclosed on the property. Other than that, we can only guess.

What I DO know, is how you can take the little things around your house for granted…and when people steal them, they are very much missed.

A couple of things that were taken from our house sometime between the time the previous owners left and the year later when we closed…

~HVAC unit from the guest house…outdoor unit and furnace.
~Toilet paper holders…all that remains are the holes in the wall.
~Cabinet hardware from the kitchen…just a couple of odd rooster-shaped knobs in the main house, and all the hardware in the guest house kitchen.
~Doorknobs from all exterior doors…replaced by the bank with tiny, cheap handles. They left some lovely holes in our doors from the previous handles.
~About half of the window screens.
~An exterior door (that had to be special ordered) on the guest house. Don’t worry…they replaced it by nailing a smaller sized door up.
