July Wrap Up – The Paulk Pack

July Wrap Up

What a month! It is so blazing hot around here that we have had to get creative with activities indoors for Owen. He is still loving school and his new teachers. I can’t believe how much he is talking and communicating now! He’s definitely gotten into his routines and is very particular about them. He has his favorite “snowmen” (pacifiers with a stuffed animal attached) that have to be in his crib at bed, along with his giant stuffed frog, blanket and pillow. He also has to have books in the bed with him because he likes to “read” to himself when he wakes up early. Ha! Owen also loves helping in the kitchen. We’ve made a few things together and he loves cooking with Mom.

Charlotte is a roly-poly! She is doing great and has tried eating a few solids-mostly oatmeal. She adores her brother more than anything and he keeps her smiling. She loves her doorway bouncer and she sleeps on her stomach now. I use the term “sleep” lightly because we are still getting up several times each night. Bless my husband as he is much more functional in the middle of the night to get to her than I ever could be.
