The hubs has been working extra hard on getting the garden perfected for this year’s harvest. I told him a few months ago how I wanted to grow some muscadine grapes-specifically the scuppernong variety because it reminded me so much of my Grandfather and summers in Savannah. He lovingly built a trellis to support several of these vines and we planted two which have taken off!
He also added two raised beds and we purchased two apple trees! So far, we have planted bush beans, okra, edamame, several varieties of tomatoes and peppers, and our blueberries and blackberries are doing great. Charles has worked SO hard on making it perfect and we’ve been lucky to have some great rain, so watering has been minimal thus far. I can’t wait-in a few more weeks we will hopefully be blessed with lots of fresh veggies and fruits.
