This weekend was pretty fun. The boys had a boys trip to Florida for Charles’ grandmother’s 99th birthday party while Charlotte and I got in some bonding time here and visited with several friends.
In preparation for Owen’s first flight, I packed him up a backpack of all new goodies and activities to entertain him. He got some new Curious George books, a magna-doodle, crayons, toy truck and a small block set. Of course, there were also lots of new and sugary snacks to entertain him as well-ha! Charles said the flight went great. The blocks were a big hit and Owen only started getting antsy once they had landed. They had a great weekend visiting with all of the Florida family, celebrating Grandmama’s 99th birthday and spending time by the pool and ocean. Owen slept the entire flight back home and came home to take another three hour nap. I’d say he had a great time!
Back here at the farm, Charlotte and I had a playdate with Shelby, Anna and Fallon and all the littles. It was so fun and we loved seeing the Eanes’ new (amazing!) house. Of course with Shelby’s touch, it looks like something out of a magazine. On Saturday, we met up with Kristin and Charlotte’s future BFF, Allie at Wilbur and Rudy’s coffeehouse. Sunday we enjoyed a lazy day and caught up on things around the house. It was a really relaxing weekend but we were so excited to have the boys back home on Monday. 🙂
